There is no preference for BI which one to use. But Apache Web server is the widely used. Again it depends on your company preference.
IIS is only for windows, so if you have linux or some other OS other than Windows, you cannot use IIS.
Look for benefits of using IIS vs Apache. But BI concern, it does not matter which web server you use.
