We have a Classic SRM scenario which creates POs in the R3 once the Shopping Carts are approved. R3 system is for an Oil&Gas Company, hence, we have activated the corresponding vertical. Also, we are using SAP FI-FM for budgeting control. The problem is that the system will only check budget availability once the PO is created.
Is there any work around in order to create a Commitment from the Shopping Cart into SAP FM without activating the Public Sector functionality? We don't want to activate this add-on because we fear that it will activate new functionality that will impact our SRM version.
Is it possible to use a Function Module in order to create a custom commitment document?
