ECCN and HTS relation ship

Hi experts,

Can any one give me a clarity on ECCN and HTS Codes.

I know ECCN which classifies the products and HTS codes can use for Duty calculation purpose.

So for every product we have one ECCN no, one HTS Import code of the product and one HTS export code of the product.

that means for every product we have 3 codes is it right the how i am thinking about the Product codes.

Please give a clear idea about the product codes.
