You said yourself that you have defined capacity usage per material as 1.00 / PAL.
In this case you want to use capacity check method 4 - capacity check based on material.
Method 5 is applicable only if you define capacity usage for storage unit type (not in material master).
So either define your capacity check method as 4, or maintain your SUT capacity usage in
customizing.
Note:
If this is a bulk mixed or non-mixed storage type you might also consider using putaway strategy B and define bin type capacity in OMM4, then assign this bin type to your storage bin(s). But this is just a second option if you find your current strategy and capacity check method inappropriate.
